XML - IDE

Extenprise XML - IDE; (XML Integrated Development Environment) platform facilitates business analysts to define, develop and deploy new applications rapidly.

XML - IDE removes the inefficiencies in the current processes where the biggest discontinuities are in manual translation of business requirements into IT requirements, which entails significant time, money as well as quality costs. In addition, the current process of developing new applications require system integrators to have significant business process capability or business process designers and analysts to have significant IT capabilities, and typically both are found wanting in what happens to be two very different core competencies.

XML - IDE significantly reduces the time and effort in development and deployment of new applications as well as application-to-application integration. In addition, it does not require significant IT expertise to design or implement such solutions. This leads to significant reduction in costs for enterprises looking to integrate disparate systems or develop new applications on their existing Enterprise systems and other legacy systems. Such non-programmatic ways of building applications based on deploying underlying standard object blocks is likely to be the way of the future, and is likely to significantly change the way many enterprise applications are developed and deployed.

XML - IDE toolkit provides AIF (Application Integration Framework), which assists Rapid Application Development. It allows business analyst to be able to define, develop and deploy web applications in a non-programmatic manner, accomplishing tasks such as:

  • Generate and publish web forms and reports using XFORMS and XSL graphical wizards
  • Define/edit business processes, business rules, workflows and events using graphical tools
  • Automatically generate WebService implementations as well as Integration with disparate WebServices and integrate business processes to Web Services
  • Create bi-directional data maps between ERP applications such as SAP, XML documents, and relational databases, including ability to perform complex operations and generate data views
  • Define/create user management and access control rules, as well as define various security parameters
  • Deployment of web services, business rules and processes, data extraction, loading and transformation maps, and security rules to create an integrated application

AIF has ability to define all the entities required in the application. It provides a fully graphical interface and does not require the user to do any coding either on the GUI-side or the server-side. The project created using the IDE can be re-used, modified and appended to. Once the user has finished definition of the application, the project can be compiled. Upon successful compilation of the project one can deploy this project. The deployment module creates an archive, which can then be deployed in an Application Server. One can start accessing the application by typing the URL (defined in the deployment descriptor of the project) in a browser. The AIF provides an array of tools to
